Global New North’s goal is to increase regional exports, creating new jobs and investment in Northeast Wisconsin. Partnering with New North and the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership (NEWREP), Global New North was launched as a comprehensive global initiative in the New North region. Understanding the impact exporting can have on increasing jobs and investment within an economy, as well as our unique landscape of advanced resident small to medium-sized businesses, East Central Regional Planning Commission in partnership with Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission developed and completed a project outline for Global New North, focusing on how to identify export opportunities for the region and execute on export expansion with resident firms.
