Kiva Microlending

KIVA Microlending available in New North Region – The New North region is home to 17 Connect Communities and 9 Main Street Communities.  These are special designations coming from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation after the communities have successfully been granted this status off of their applications.  A special benefit to being a minority-owned, woman-owned, or veteran-owned business/entrepreneur in one of these communities is that you are eligible to receive a no interest KIVA micro-loan.  This loan up to $5,000 is matched with an additional interest free loan of $5,000.  To learn more please see the two attached maps designating the Main Street and Connect Communities in the New North region; visit KIVA.org for additional information and to start your application; listen to the attached podcast; or view the attached summary document.  You can also contact Barb LaMue at the New North for additional guidance – [email protected].
