Mile of Music

Back in 2013, the very first Mile of Music festival staged a “cool-stuff” performance that no one saw coming…and in the years since, it’s become a national original music phenomenon for emerging artists that brings international attention to Downtown Appleton and the New North. Heading into its milestone event Aug 3-6, 2023, Mile 10 will feature more than 200 original music acts, playing 700-plus live music sets at 40 venues. The event brings musicians/performers and music educators from all corners of the country, as well as just around the corner – and it attracts 100,000 attendees over four days. It adds value to our region in innumerable ways, including creating an economic impact of $7 million, serving as a cultural and creative catalyst, and attracting/retaining talent.
