Florence County

Florence County is located in Northeast Wisconsin on the border of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula about 1.5 hours North of Green Bay. It is home to 200+ small businesses. These entrepreneurs work hard to provide excellent products and services for residents and visitors alike.

More than half of the county’s land is publicly owned forest, making it one of the wildest places in Wisconsin. The outdoor fun includes 265 lakes for fishing, swimming and boating; 165 miles of rivers to paddle, tube or fish; two state-designated “Wild Rivers”; and miles of forested trails to hike, bike, ATV, horseback ride, XC ski, snowshoe and snowmobile.

Scenic view of a waterfall cascading over rocky terrain, surrounded by lush green trees and clear blue skies, highlighting the beauty of nature.
