New North partners with economic development corporations representing the town, city, and county, as well as State of Wisconsin economic resources to support business attraction, business retention, and job growth in Northeast Wisconsin.

As the leading regional economic development and marketing corporation representing the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin, New North recognizes its core value as collaboration. New North is proud to partner with the following economic development corporations in Northeast Wisconsin and the State of Wisconsin:

  • Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC)
    The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is the state’s lead economic development organization designed to assist business development and innovation through loans, grants, tax credits and technical assistance programs. WEDC’s bold leadership serves Wisconsin businesses, generates results on economic development investments and brings resources together to strengthen and promote Wisconsin’s economy.
  • Northeast Wisconsin Regional Economic Partnership (NEWREP)
    New North works with a network of economic development professionals representing counties and municipalities throughout our 18-county region. NEWREP provides hands-on support and programming for existing and prospective businesses to promote local job growth in the New North region.   • Chambers of Commerce
    New North, Inc. partners with all chamber of commerce corporations in Northeast Wisconsin, connecting with chamber members and providing services to each corporation’s membership, leading to regional economic growth.   • Bay Lake & East Central Regional Planning Commissions
    Services provided by regional planning commissions (RPCs) include comprehensive and land use planning; transportation improvement and corridor planning; open space, recreational and environmental planning; economic development; demographic information and projections; technical assistance to local governments; geographic information services and aerial photography distribution. Regional planning commissions serve as important resources to the federal Economic Development Association (EDA) of the United States and municipal partners in the New North region.
  • Bay Area and Fox Valley Workforce Development Boards
    Workforce Development Boards in Northeast Wisconsin provide services to individuals and businesses, including high-quality, efficient and affordable training for workers and promotion of employment opportunities to job candidates within the region. Additionally, workforce development boards are key resources in talent alliance initiatives in the New North region.
  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Office of Business Support & Sustainability
    The DNR provides many avenues for business owners to work with the agency in growing and sustaining Wisconsin’s economy. The Wisconsin DNR works to help businesses succeed with business endeavors through partnerships between our public and private sectors, time sensitive coordination with state government and innovative programs that can adapt to every industry sector’s very diverse needs. The Office of Business Support and Sustainability is the agency’s one-stop shop for business assistance. The office’s mission is to work across programs to create the business climate that yields better environmental and economic performance.
  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Bureau for Remediation and Redevelopment
    Wisconsin’s DNR Bureau for Remediation and redevelopment works to clean up and return “brownfields” to productive use to aid in contributing to economic re-development and quality of life while also improving the environment. Their work provides a wide range of financial and liability tools available to assist local governments, businesses, lenders and others to clean up and redevelop “brownfields “in Wisconsin. DNR Staff around the state are available to meet with community leaders, bankers, developers and private individuals to discuss their “brownfield” projects.
  • Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA)
    The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) was created in 1972 by the Wisconsin Legislature as an independent authority, not a state agency. WHEDA works closely with lenders, developers, local government, nonprofits, community groups and others to implement its low-cost financing programs. WHEDA provides low-cost, fixed interest rate mortgages to low- and moderate-income individuals and families to purchase their first home. WHEDA also works with developers to finance affordable rental housing, and support economic development and agriculture through its small business guarantee programs.
