- Advanced Manufacturing Solutions Initiatives
The Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) with the involvement from manufacturers around the state has developed "three key strategies" and "six solutions" to address the challenges facing manufacturing today and anticipate what is needed tomorrow.
- The Advanced Manufacturing Project (AMP)
 The AMP is a research consortium consisting of Center of Wisconsin Strategy (COWS) staff and their colleagues at the Center for Regional Economic Issues at Case Western Reserve University, the University of Chicago, and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center. The project's goal is to identify the factors that lead companies to adopt "high road" versus "low road" competitive strategies. To that end, AMP looks at firms in the component-manufacturing sector. Heavily concentrated in the Upper Midwest, this sector is widely regarded as critical to the future of U.S. manufacturing as a whole.

The DWD provides access to a variety of workforce and labor information and offers a wide variety of employment programs and services. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is the state agency charged with building and strengthening Wisconsin's workforce.
- Wisconsin's Office of Economic Advisors
The OEA publishes monthly and annual reports that provide an overview of Wisconsin county and state trends including workforce observations, county workforce profiles, workforce development area profiles, and state and regional employment projections. The Office, created as part of Governor Doyle's "Grow Wisconsin" plan, assists economic data users to better understand the relationships between labor markets and other economic and demographic specifics as well as helping users interpret labor force data and focus on the issues and trends influencing employment growth in the State of Wisconsin.
