Key priorities of this group include:
- Ensuring the New North region has available and skilled labor to support business growth and expansion
- Understanding workforce needs which encourage business and industry growth
- Developing strategic plans to effectively align and utilize resources (training, education, and funding) to attract, develop and retain talent
- Working to identify and implement programming aimed at special needs groups including diverse cultural, ethnic, low income, challenged, and "difficult to employ" groups with the region.
