The Lakeshore Wisconsin Manufacturing Supply Chain is a networking site designed to help area manufacturers identify and capture new business opportunities in global supply chains.
Goals of the Lakeshore Wisconsin Manufacturing Supply Chain:
- Build Better Supply Chain Connections: Link local firms in ways that help them do more business together and identify other opportunities for collaboration.
- Develop New Markets: Assist local firms in exporting and by providing other tools to help them break into regional, national, and global markets.
- Develop Talent: Assist manufacturers in development a local pipeline of talent, i.e. young people and adults with an interest in manufacturing careers and the skills and competencies needed to prosper in these fields. The Lakeshore Wisconsin Manufacturing Supply Chain will serve to enhance the regional supply chains by strengthening the cross selling between the region’s manufacturing companies.
The targeted manufacturing sectors of the Lakeshore Wisconsin Manufacturing Supply Chain include Metal & Machining, Aluminum/Cutlery, Plastics, Food Manufacturing and encompass a five county area (Door, Calument, Kewaunee, Manitowoc and Sheboygan). The database is searchable via geographical maps where companies are located in each segment, by NAICS code, as well as alphabetically.
